Final project

The main idea of this project is the meaning of travel.In my opinion，the landscape is not most important thing in the travel. Every trip has a different feel that depends on whose your partner. May be your parents, friends, lovers，different people can gives you different feeling.In this project. I chose four photos and make two style,color and black-white.then I put color shoes and luggage in both style. As time goes on,the physical photo may fade and the friend or lover may change，but the memories and experiences continue to accumulate，It like the Traces of wear of the soles can record the road traveled and the luggage as a memory box can save your all memory and it will never fade.Most of the photos took by myself except the first one which is the Ferris wheel from my hometown，tianjin and other photos are famous place of china.These photos are from a camera，when I saw all the photos in my camera，I had a lot of thinking about that travel.The reason of I choose this topic as the main idea is I want to share and listen that means share the feeling of travel and listen other people's story of their travel.I like travel and really enjoy it.

Response to “Feet in Smoke”

I think this article is really interesting..The authors described a very special story about his brother,I can not believe that is true in the beginning.That talking about the author's bother which is almost electrocuted to death.The author recorded his recovery day by day.I was moved when I saw that man woke up because of a new song.I can feel the man love of music through description of the author. Music has different meanings to different people.Music can bring us moved whether it is songs or lyrics.Music is a universally accepted form of art and exist in everywhere and very important for every part.Music has a special meaning for me，when I was a little baby，I need the song from my father and I can not sleep without the song. I love music and I would like to share music with my friend.I think I write too much about my own feelings.In any case, I really really like this article

"Cathedral" Resposne

Protagonist of the article is a blind person.I do not know much of the blind，sometime I sympathize with them and doubt their ability.Through this article， I will change my mind and recognized their wisdom.I think this article is very interesting,the writing style of the article is different with other article which I have read.Although the blind can not see anything, they do not lack the wisdom，Even smarter than us. I also like the narrator which try to explain the cathedral to the blind person.He has patience that really I was impressed. Some peoples always said，God has closed a door for you, but he will definitely leave a window open for you. It is ideally suited to be used to describe the blind，because the blind always have keen hearing and smell better than normal guys.They are very popular in some works. In addition, this article has a little difficult to follow，sometime I do not know what the author want to say.

I really agree this article, because I have thought about this issue which is author talking about in this article. People are not independent in this world，communication is the necessary condition for the people into  society. Each person has a different way to thinking, there are not same. one thing for different people have different meaning. whether you how to think， you need share your thinking to other peoples. some people do not like think deeper attitude of the things, they just need know the meaning，just the meaning. I like the style that is author used on this article.I feel the authenticity of this article and The author's point is very clearly explained. Through the article， I will rethink the way of talking to my friend，because they may be confused of my opinion. Sometimes,  We always ignore this problem in inadvertently.

Response to Kaprow article

I really like this article，because the opinion of the author is very interesting. we have to brush our teeth every day， but I think no body want to pay attention to this thing，The author's topic which use the teeth brushing to explain the art is unique. No one can provide an accurate definition of art，because the variety of forms of art. There are many things we do every day，we have never to think this things from an artistic point. This is the difference between artists and ordinary people. Through this article，I understand that I need to pay more attention to life.As the Kaprow said, art should not have limitations，Anyone's opinion should not be denied that is the reason of why I like this article.This is a very attractive  article，I agree with his opinion.however,how about other readers? what the other people think of teeth brushing?

Micro Project 6

My action word is simplify,the main idea about this project is around the iphone4. I put the phone on the upper right corner of the picture，get some other digital products around it.This idea come from my friends who can not live without the cell phone.when we get some meet，they always check their phone even do not have any new message.Although their behavior is annoying，but I have to say，the iphone  provide the convenient  to  consumers that is pretty math with my action word：simplify. In my project, I only display a small part of the function of the iphone. I think no one is willing to take a lot of digital products in their luggage which for their travel，even if l did not do any research about it. iphone has a lot of applications that almost meets the needs of all. Now many companies prefer to develop applications for iphone whether it is about life or games. This indicates iphone can substitute for some game console. Every time Apple will improve the quality of the camera of every new production iphone that can make you satisfied，if you are not a photography enthusiast. Google map is also a good application that can provide the accurate direction when you without the GPS. I do not sure the feeling of iphone of other peoples，but for me，I think iphone really simplify my life.

project 4

In this project，I assume I have super power that can make items change into small or big. Because everyday we go to class, we need carry a lot of things like  laptop，notebooks and textbooks，all of them are heavy.I measured the weight of the textbooks of the course and put it in the upper right corner of the first picture. Especially in summer，we will sweat if we put a lot heavy stuff on the backpack.But now, I have super power, I can put this items smaller and put them in my pocket first and then put  them into a normal size when I arrived at the classroom.I think it is very useful super power and make life easy. The really important things I think this work should do on a hidden place，it is secret.hah
                            

Project 4

The first three picture on top is original picture, I was take it on oval.The reason of I choose these picture is I like snow. In the picture you can see clean   snow.Snow is a symbol of romantic， so I made a love story in the picture.

 The first picture：There are two people in the picture， The boy always turn left and the girl always turn right， They meet in the oval everyday，they also miss each other.

 The second picture：One day，girl was attracted by the moon. She was setting down the bench and looking the moon.At same time,the boy just over the class. when he through the oval，He felt the girl who watching the moon is pretty.You can see in the picture I use the large bulb instead of moon， because it is interesting and I want to use the little kid on on the bulb represent the divinity who is responsible for love, I really want to say：love is doomed, God will arrange everything.

The third picture:Since the day of they know each other，They always go together .Arrow mark means they go some direction and never miss each other.The cartoon characters on the lower left corner，They are in the relationship and I want to say love can melt the snow and makes people feel warm.

Project 3

1. Jeremy Scott Gorilla Shoes

   I would grab that shoe because that is the newest limited edition shoes of all of my shoes. I waited a month to get it. I have a passion for shoes and really like the designer of the Gorilla shoes. so I don't want to lose it. Also, we need to stay outdoors for a long time, this shoes is very warm.

2. My iphone, Also, so I can call the emergency number if my house is burning down
I have to grab my phone because it is pretty valuable. One thing it can do is can make the iphone as ipod. Because I put a lot of music in my ipod, when I feel bored, I can listen to music. Another thing it can do is I can call my mother and tell her I am stay safety. I also can post the picture of burning house on facebook and remind other people who live in same apartment of me.

3. My glasses

I wear contact lenses in my daily life, but I would feel uncomfortable if I wear that long time. I must change to glasses. I can not live without the lenses.

 I am an international student, think that the passport is the most effective explanation of my identity. If I lose it, I have register in embassy in New York and then go back there to get it after 3 weeks. I have to leave school and miss some exam that is unfortunate. I really do not want to lose my passport.

I would to grab my wallet that is very important things because I have not time to carry too many things like Water and food. If I have enough cash, I can buy something which I really need.

I chose these things are useful when in the fire, the most important things is passport, so I put the passport on the middle, other things around it. The hot pink is my favorite color. I choose a lot of that color’s things. That are all of my project.

Response to Nipple Jesus

Nick Hornby:

I think the title of the article is very interesting, Abstract words as a title is a good way of attracting readers. Nick introduced his first job before being a security guard at the art gallery. He used this story to told readers a painting named "Nipple Jesus". he author was very sad of this painting has been destroyed.

But the artist who created this painting was happy about that.The artist thought The value of a artwork not only for people to watch, but also need people know the meaning of artwork.I real like the idea of artist, if your artwork can be controversial that is a successful work.Art is a complex and we should find the deepest meaning of the art.

Response to Walker and Barrett articles

Walker：

The Walker article uses a lot of examples to explain their thesis. Artwork and artists to make his article more persuasive. This really helps audience understand the support from the artists is better than explain the thesis without the example. However, the mean idea of this article is not similar to the thesis that makes me confuse what is the Walker want to say?  Other things I do not like is Walke’s work is not detailed enough.

Barrett：

The article talk about the denotation and connotation of art in the visual work that is very useful. Denotation and connotation are very important in human growth. In different age of people have different ability.The Barrett use rheexamples like Teddy Bear to interpret his idea. The authors said that if the authors hope that the audience can fully understand the meaning of a work of art, communication is the important way between the author and audience

Response to the Kidd, Hickey, and Weschler articles

Kidd is a great graphic designer. His great talents in this area are indisputable. In the excerpt from The Cheese Monkeys by Kidd gives audiences the most basic explanation of the design. This article is mainly talking about “forms” of the design that include the concepts of big and small, left to right, top to bottom, foreground and background, and so on. These are very similar to our daily life. However, I am confused of the part of the article like the introduction of this article; I think this part has a little abstract that too hard to understand.

Hickey, The Heresy of Zone Defense excerpt

This is a good article, Hickey described the different roles of the rules in sports competitions and artistic. I like his stance about the idea that in art, I always think that art can not be bound by the rules. His main argument is about the rules in people’s life. Citizens of a free individual, living in a free society and people must have independent ideas. Although the rules have limitations that can makes things easily. Author refers to basketball as an example to explants the rule has different role in different situation. Although the author's argument is unique, Hickey try to make basketball is in fact liberated by its rules. But I think his argument a little stronger.

Weschler, Uncanny Valley excerpt

The Weschsler in this excerpt discusses the progression and technology of digital animation and introduces the complexity of the animation. The authors believe that the face of the character animation is very important and also difficult to create. The authors argue, the soul is difficult to be captured no matter how exquisite the figure. However, Weschler always use reverse thinking to explants his viewpoint that is difficult to understand.

Project 2

I always pay much attention to my surroundings on the way of school and think too much about that. I am get up at 8:30am every Monday and Wednesday morning. The first things I do after the get up is check the time of no.2 cota line that is only the bus I can take to go to school. I like choose very fit time that means if I did not catch that bus, I will be late. In general, 5 minutes walk from my house to the station. Unfortunately, I just have few times can finish up and go to bus station before 5 minute. Other times I must run to there that led to I often miss the bus and get class late.  



Now, let me introduce my picture. The background of the picture is the Google map direction from my home to class. The first photo is named “Mysterious door” that is not real exit. At the beginning of I moved into this apartment, I did not know this door, when I walk on this street, some people who suddenly appear in front of me that really scare me. I solved this confusion until one day my roommate told me that the door. This is real funny things I think. When I pass this door, I will see the Patrick J’s that like a Turning point. In this place I can see the bus stop that determines the next part of the road to bus stop I should walk or run. Every day I get off at the 18th Street and then I need take CLS or CC to go to the destination, Ohio stadium. I always try to find other classmates when I walking on the way to the classroom, even though I was late I am not alone

10. My name on Campus

I think this project is very interesting; I love to shoot photos of life. Through this project, I can share my photos to other peoples that really nice. If you can carefully observe the twenty photos, you will see the common ground of these pictures that about colors. Most of these photos have a strong color impact. Although the first group of photos was randomly selected, they still have the meanings. Like the picture of Macaroon that is the gift from my roommate. On a last spring break she went to New York and brings the best macaroons in New York for me. Different color is a different flavor and very delicious. The ninth photos are some of colored pencil shavings. The reason of using this photo is art everywhere. The twenty are come from daily life and first ten pictures are more random.

Now, let us talk about the second group photos. I spent a lot of time in these photos. I thought hard about how to make me be more creative on these photos. I am most satisfied with the photos is the first one and second one. The books are an important factor for picture asymmetry. I think this photo is very creative and I like it so much. The little kid on 4th photo is my nephew; he was crying and looking for his mother. This photo capture is very timely, because he always moves and this photo not blurry. About the unstable picture is good idea. I got it from 3rd flood that is very good point of view. The person are little small in this photo, but each action is very clear. These elements are the well expression of the unstable. I have a headache when I saw I need to provide the photos of bird, because I have a phobia of bird and I want to make the point of view of a bird from other bird that like secretly watching its lover. I can only ask my friend to help. Photography is his interest and he is very good at photography. Very grateful to him! The last photo about my name on campus that is a little bit difficult. This idea come out great, I found the building which have some pronunciation of my last name “tang”. I am amazing it because I am Chinese and the Chinese names are totally different from Americans name. Overall I had a really fun time with these photos and look forward to the projects ahead.
